Standing Facilities
Standing facilities represent the facilities offered by NBM to licensed banks upon their request. NBM offers 2 types of standing facilities:
- overnight credit facility, and
- overnight deposit facility.
Overnight credit is a credit extended by NBM to banks over night, for the purpose of covering the overdraft at the end of the operational day, as well as for maintaining required reserves, guaranteed with securities pledged with NBM, at a pre-established interest rate.
Overnight deposit is a standing facility provided by NBM, which offers to banks the possibility to place deposits with NBM over night upon own initiative, at a pre-established interest rate.
