Popular tradition – pottery (Holidays, culture, traditions series)

In compliance with Law no. 548 –XIII dated July 21, 1995 on the National Bank of Moldova, Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and of the National Bank of Moldova on Minting and Issuance of Jubilee and Commemorative Coins no.153 dated February 13, 2007 and according to the Decision of the Council of Administration of the National Bank of Moldova no.270 dated October 25, 2007, the National Bank of Moldova has, on November 12, 2007, put into circulation as legal tender and for numismatic purpose, the commemorative coin of the Holidays, culture, traditions  series, Popular tradition - pottery.

A circular border stands out on the edge of both the obverse and the reverse of the coin.
Turning the coin against its vertical axis at an angle of 180 degrees sets the image on the obverse and the reverse of the coin.

 Description:

Obverse: 
 

  •  central part – Coat of arms of the Republic of Moldova;
  •  upper part – figure "2007";
  •  bottom part – inscription "50 LEI";
  •  following the coin circumference – inscription in block letters "REPUBLICA MOLDOVA".
     

Reverse:

  •  central part – potter’s wheel and two hands moulding a pot;
  •  upper part, following the coin circumference – inscription in block letters "TRADIŢIA  POPULARĂ - OLĂRITUL".
