In compliance with Law no. 548 -XIII dated July 21, 1995 on the National Bank of Moldova, the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the National Bank of Moldova "on the minting of jubilee and commemorative coins" no. 21 of January 16, 2004 and according to the Decision of the Council of Administration of the National Bank of Moldova no. 207 dated August 17, 2004, the National Bank of Moldova issued as legal tender and for numismatic purpose, starting with August 23, 2004, a commemorative coin of the "Red Book" series:

MARTES MARTES

A circular border stands out on the edge of both the obverse and the reverse.
Turning the coin against the vertical axis at an angle of 180 degrees sets the image on the obverse and the reverse of the coin.

Description:

	Obverse: In the central part of the coin - the Coats of Arms of the Republic of Moldova; The figure "2004" is engraved in the upper part; In the bottom part - the wording "10 LEI"; The inscription "REPUBLICA MOLDOVA" in block letters is placed in the upper part of the obverse following the coin circumference.
	Reverse: The image of a Marten on a vegetal background is placed in the central part; The inscriptions: "CARTEA ROSIE, JDER-DE-PADURE, MARTES MARTES" (the Latin name) in block letters follow the coin circumference.
